Уважаемые коллеги!

Институт степи Уральского отделения Российской академии наук (ИС УрО РАН) совместно с другими заинтересованными организациями проводит XI Международный симпозиум «Степи Северной Евразии».

Симпозиум состоится в первой декаде июня 2027 года в г. Оренбург. 
 

Особое внимание на Форуме планируется уделить:

• вкладу академической и вузовской науки в изучение степей Евразии;
• роли новейших методов исследований для решения проблем неистощительного природопользования, экологической оптимизации ландшафтов, устойчивого развития степных регионов в условиях современных изменений и вызовов.

ТЕМАТИЧЕСКИЕ НАПРАВЛЕНИЯ СИМПОЗИУМА:

1. История, достижения и перспективы степеведения как фундаментального научного направления. Проблемы сохранения степных экосистем в XXI веке (к 30-летию Института степи УрО РАН).
2. Ландшафты степных и смежных регионов, их структура и динамика под влиянием хозяйственной деятельности и климатических изменений.
3. Биологическое разнообразие степных ландшафтов: современные угрозы и стратегии сохранения. 
4. Эколого-гидрологические, водохозяйственные проблемы и перспективы рационального использования мелиоративного потенциала степных регионов в условиях климатических и антропогенных изменений. 
5. Социально-экономический, природно-ресурсный и туристско-рекреационный потенциал степных регионов. Проблемы и перспективы устойчивого развития степных регионов Евразии.
6. Геоэкологические и технологические аспекты оптимизации степного землепользования. 

Контрольные даты:
1 ноября 2026 г. – окончание приёма регистрационных карт участников симпозиума (Приложение 1).
1 февраля 2027 г. – окончание приёма материалов XI Международного симпозиума «Степи Северной Евразии». 
15 февраля 2027 г. – рассылка второго информационного письма с уточнёнными сроками и условиями участия.

Dear Colleagues!

Institute of Steppe of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IS UB RAS), together with other interested organizations, is holding the XI International Symposium "Steppes of Northern Eurasia".

The Symposium will be held in the first decade of June 2027 in Orenburg. 

At the Forum, special attention will be paid to:
- the contribution of academic and university science to the study of the steppes of Eurasia;
- the role of the latest research methods in solving the problems of non-depleting nature management, ecological optimization of landscapes, and sustainable development of steppe regions in the context of modern changes and challenges.

THEMATIC AREAS OF THE SYMPOSIUM:

1. History, achievements, and prospects of steppe studies as a fundamental scientific field. Problems of preservation of steppe ecosystems in the 21st century (on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Institute of Steppe of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences).
2. Landscapes of steppe and adjacent regions, their structure and dynamics under the influence of economic activity and climate change.
3. Biological diversity of steppe landscapes: current threats and conservation strategies. 
4. Environmental, hydrological, and water management issues and prospects for the rational use of the reclamation potential of steppe regions in the context of climate and anthropogenic changes. 
5. Socio-economic, natural-resource, and tourist-recreational potential of the steppe regions. Problems and prospects of sustainable development of the steppe regions of Eurasia.
6. Geo-ecological and technological aspects of optimizing steppe land use. 

Control dates:
November 1, 2026 – the end of the registration cards of the participants of the Symposium (Appendix 1).
February 1, 2027 – the end of the materials of the XI International Symposium “Steppes of Northern Eurasia”. 
February 15, 2027 – the mailing of the second information letter with the specified terms and conditions of participation.
